Preventive remediation methods minimize soil pollution

چکیده
Soil quality is rich in various substances, as well a variety of uses for life, which leads to the potential pollution. Once soils are polluted, remediation mitigative and must be carried out, has been focus many studies so far. However, preventive novelty this study, aims prepare predictive methods. This literature review over last ten years, related soil indicators through respiration process. Based on microbial process platform, contains results study found three methods, namely substance reactants, gas products, toxicity microbes. The methods simply require measuring parameters biochemical oxygen demand, chemical addition specific measurements carbon dioxide enumeration. advantage method application response types amounts contaminants. implementation prior building infrastructure, able predict changes monitoring, thereby minimizing remediation.

Remediation of Lead-Contaminated Soil, Using Clean Energy in Combination with Electro-Kinetic Methods
The present study aims at investigating the feasibility of using solar energy as a power source to run electro-kinetic remediation in order to clean-up lead from three types of Iraqi soil. In order to do so, it carries out six tests with enhancement conditions, involving pH control and injection wells. Conducted in the city of Baghdad, Iraq, the experiment, is divided into two groups so that th...
متن کاملA Study on Location-Based Priority of Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation
Under the circumstances of limited government funds, the future pollution remediation policies and practical implementation may need contemplation from the perspective of maximized efficacy, in order to pursue the most effective resource allocation. In fact, different pollution sources and types affect the value of surrounding properties differently in significance and scope. Therefore, benefit...
متن کاملHeavy Metal Pollution of Soil and a New Approach to Its Remediation: Research Experiences in Japan
Rapid industrialization in the 1960s caused heavy metals such as cadmium (Cd) to severely pollute soil in Japan. The Agricultural Land Soil Pollution Prevention Law was enacted in 1970 to cope with the heavy metal pollution. Cd, in particular, has been recognized as one of the most detrimental elements in Japan because of the so-called “itai-itai” disease caused through Cd uptake. Recently, the...

متن کاملRemediation of ozone pollution by ornamental plants in indoor environment
The indoor air quality is much more matter of concern as relative to ambient or outdoor air quality, especially in the context of human health. However, very few studies have been reported for remediation of indoor ozone by plant species. The main objective of this study is to evaluate ozone deposition velocities and ozone removal effectiveness of three indoor ornamental plant species (Dra...
